Are you buying advertising and related services?

The first thing you want to do is find the Suppliers, advertising space and services that are right for you.  

Find Media Providers and Service Providers
The “Find” tabs take you to an easy-to-use search-results page where you can research all Suppliers from publications to agencies, using your own keywords or our handy filters.
Clicking on any result of interest will take you to the details for that Media Provider or Service Provider.
The kind of details you will have access to are:
- Any current offers, including “hot” offers, available from that particular Media Provider or Service Provider...
- A detailed description of the Media Provider or Service Provider
- The region covered or serviced by the Media Provider or Service Provider
- Audience demographics (including the estimated number of readers / listeners), ad specifications and production information (in the case of Media Providers)
- Service type and year established (in the case of Service Providers)

Buy advertisements and related service offers
Once you’ve researched and found an offer you like, it’s just a few more clicks to purchase.
You can find advertisements and other offers either through the individual Media Provider / Service Provider details page – or navigate to these via the “Buy” tabs.

The “Buy” tabs clearly list out all the great advertising opportunities you can purchase directly through our site.

After purchasing an ad or service, what happens next?
Once an offer is purchased, you and the Media Provider or Service Provider will need to be in touch with each other to co-ordinate and finalise your ad placement or service offer. buyAds.com.au will send to both you and the Media Provider or Service Provider the other person’s details, as well as a confirmation of the purchase, to help facilitate your communication.

If there are no offers available  from the Media Provider or Service Provider you want to use, you should contact them directly to discuss your requirements.
All registered Media Providers’ and Service Providers’ contact details will be listed – and we encourage you to speak to them.

If you prefer, we are happy to do the legwork for you by contacting, researching and/or negotiating with the Media Providers and Services Providers on your behalf. Just e-mail or call us. .

We are available to assist at any stage of the research or purchasing process, so if you have questions or run into any trouble just contact us.

Selling advertising and related services

buyAds.com.au couldn’t really make it any easier for you to connect with Advertisers. Just create a listing on buyAds.com.au by completing the details on your own page, and then make some offers to our customers.

Listings
Create a listing to let our extensive customer base know that you exist and what you can offer.

Listings can be created once you have registered [hot link to registration page] with us. You can either create your listing from scratch, or claim and complete an existing record from our database (after your claim has been verified).

The more information you provide us to make your profile complete, the higher your chances are of being seen. Once you register and list with us, you can start posting offers to Advertisers and expanding your customer base.

Offers
We have a simple facility to create and manage offers you may wish to propose to advertisers.
Once registered, offers are managed through your account homepage for each publication or service you have listed.
Offers can be anything from standard rates, to campaign or cross-publication trials, to last minute advertising inventory, to on-going special offers  you want to offer.
Offers are a cheap and easy way to get our customers to notice you.

Your marketing and sales team now works round the clock

We are here to find you customers (and we are also here to help our customers find you).
Our extensive network and innovative (and traditional) marketing initiatives will bring advertisers to our site. All you have to do is use us – list and make offers and contact us if you have any questions.

Media Supplier Help

 We are thrilled to have you as part of our buyAds network. As a special VIP media supplier, you have been given access to me, Anthony, as your dedicated support person.

What I do is:

        1) Create your account with buyAds

        2) Set up your media record/s - from the details given to me

        3) Create any offers you and the sales team have agreed to put up on our site

So, this page contains instructions and details as to how you can log in, take over and manage your account on buyAds.

I’ve done my best to make all instructions as clear as possible, but if something doesn’t make sense or (shock horror) doesn’t work, just give me a quick call or e-mail.

Step 1: Log-in

Logging in to buyAds.com.au is easy.

Go to http://www.buyads.com.au/ and click though from the top of any page to the log in screen

You will be taken to the following screen where you simply need to enter your e-mail address and password.

Your initial password will be randomly generated by us – and should have been sent to you with this pack. If you didn’t receive it, can’t find it, forgot it or it is not working, just let us know and we’ll sort it out for you.

NOTE: This is only an initial password. Once logged in, you can follow instructions on how to change this to your own personal password).

Step 2: My Account Page

The “Account Page” is your home at buyAds.

View and Edit your User Profile

Change your Password

Search for Media (and claim it, if you are the owner / person responsible)

Create New Media Kits

Update / Edit existing Media Kits in your account

Create Special Offers for media that you own

Review and Edit your offers

View and Manage orders that have been placed for your offers

It is also the launch pad to conduct your own search for advertising space and associated services!

Each of these processes is covered below.

Step 2.1 View and Edit your User Profile

Here you can update your basic company and contact details

Step 2.2 Change your Password

This is important for the first time you log in as a VIP client of buyAds.

You would have received your username (e-mail address) and password (randomly generated by buyAds) via e-mail.

Use these details provided to you to change your password here, to something of your choice.

You will need to make sure you enter your original password correctly otherwise you will be returned with an error.

(Note: passwords must be 6 characters minimum length).

Additionally, you must ensure your new password is typed correctly twice (i.e. new and confirm boxes), otherwise the following error will be returned.

Step 2.3 Search for Media (and claim it, if you are the owner / person responsible)

There are many media listings already setup in the buyAds database. If you are the owner of one (or more) of them (or responsible for it) you can claim it – and have it or them connected to your account. This is so you can update and edit the details as well as create Offers to sell space to Advertisers.

Claiming a media is an easy process.

Search and find the appropriate media record either via the account home page or through the normal “Find Media Supplier” link:

Once you have found the record, simply click on the “Claim this media” link at the bottom of the media details page:

You will then follow the steps to register your claim with buyAds.

We will investigate and once approved, you will see the claimed media in your account homepage. The claiming process usually takes approximately 24 to 48 hours.

Step 2.4 Create New Media Kits

Where your media record does not already exist in the buyAds database, you can easily create new media kits directly from your Account Homepage. You can create as many additional media kits as you like under your account assuming you are the rightful owner/person responsible for each of those media/publications.

Simply type in all the details and submit your listing

Once you have submitted your new listing you will be asked if you want to pay for the listing now or later.

(NOTE: There is a significant discount if you choose to pay upfront. Payment can be made via credit card using the security-verified PayPal system, or direct payment via invoice.)

You will be given the opportunity to add extended media details immediately after creating your media listing. Offers can only be created once your media listing has been approved.

Step 2.5 Update / Edit existing Media Kits in your account

Once your media listing has been approved, updating or editing your extended media details is easy.

Log in first (click here for instructions). Once you are logged in, navigate to your Account Homepage and simply select the media kit you wish you update.

Remember to click “UPDATE” once you have completed all the updates / changes to your service profile.

Step 2.6 Create Special Offers for media that you provide

Once your media listing is up and running, creating Offers to advertisers is easy. Your Offers can be anything from special one-off deals to small discounts to your normal rack rates. Please note that Offers that provide some form of deal to a customer are typically ranked higher in search results.

Log in first (click here for instructions). Once you are logged in, navigate to your Account Homepage and simply select the appropriate “add offers” button for the service profile you wish you update.

This takes you to the “Add Offers” page where you simply need to complete the relevant details, keeping in mind that the majority of the fields are mandatory. We have done this to ensure a clear offer is made to Advertisers (ie. improving your chances of selling media space through buyAds.com.au).

If you have sufficient credit in your account to post offers, those offers will be posted immediately.

If you are out of offer credits, you will be asked to purchase them at the time of listing. Follow the prompts to purchase new offer credits. Once you have, your offer will be purchased and any remaining credits will go into your account for next time.

Step 2.7 Review and edit your offers

Once your Offer is listed, you are able to make a few changes to it:

Change the Title / Description / Details / Additional Info (this is handy if you receive any feedback from customers regarding the offer)

Modify the Expiration Date (forward or back) – [should we not remind them here that offers can not be extended beyond a certain period]

Change the price (offer price and original price)

Retract the offer (Delete)

To make these changes, navigate to your Account Homepage and simply select the appropriate action (view/edit/delete) for the offer you wish you update.

You will then be allowed to make changes accordingly.

Step 2.8 View and Manage orders that have been placed for your offers

In addition to the e-mail notifications we send you when customers order your offers, you are able to view and manage all orders from within the Account Homepage.

From the Account Homepage, you are able to tell the status of the order (Submitted, Complete).

Viewing the details of each order will inform you about the customer (including contact information) as well as the actual offer that was purchased.

Service Provider Help
